The Wants reeled us in with the taught lead track from their forthcoming new album just a matter of weeks ago. Following up 'The Motor' with an equally tension filled cut, 'Container' centres around an undulating bass synth rhythm. Backed by a krauty, picked bass guitar, the intentionally repetitive beats keep the track grounded as layers of wild guitar feedback apply pressure in all the right places. Leaving space for guitarist/vocalist Madison Velding-VanDam's lyrical stream-of-consciousness to shine through, 'Container' is a mildly sadistic exposition of the mundanity of modern life.
